I don’t know, Rick may not like this, but I just can’t get those writing juices flowing tonight. Maybe it’s because our early show was cancelled because of the Indianapolis 500 extended coverage (which was due to rain, of course). I guess I’m feeling a bit lethargic. I have come to realize in the few months I’ve been here that writing a blog is a chore.
I can’t complain there’s no weather to talk about. That MCV really messed things up today. You could see it on the radar last night and our Predictor model picked it up well. It was just hard to buy that it was going to produce that much rain, even with our moist atmosphere. But in Duncan, near Ardmore, there were reports of 5-8″ of rain in that area.
The rain this evening is really slow moving, so although most areas are dry, those that aren’t might easily get an inch or more tonight. Another round of storms are expected on Memorial Day, though it looks like Monday might be more like Saturday, with more scattered showers rather than a complete washout.
Have a great Memorial Day. Hope the weather doesn’t mess up your plans.
