The Active Weather Pattern Continues

Our weather has been rather active since late July.  Storm systems have continued to affect Oklahoma every few days, and that trend will continue.

As I type this, rain is falling over the eastern half of Oklahoma.  While the steadiest rain will remain in the east, a few light showers are possible around the OKC metro area overnight.  Those showers should be gone by the Tuesday morning drive into work.

Tuesday and Wednesday will feature a warming trend as highs will be in the 60s on Tuesday, and close to 70s in spots on Wednesday.  Both days will be dry, but Wednesday will be windy with southerly winds gusting to around 40 mph.

The next storms system to affect Oklahoma will move in on Thursday.  A cold front will bring showers and storms to the state, starting late Wednesday night in the west, and during the day Thursday in central and eastern Oklahoma.  Some of the storms could end up severe, and heavy rainfall will be a threat as well.

Dry weather will return Friday, and continue through the weekend.  Right now the forecast for Halloween, as well as the OU and OSU football games looks quite pleasant with dry and mild conditions expected.
