Oklahoma’s Monsoon?

Ok, so it may not be a real monsoon, but get ready, because the next 2 weeks are statistically the wettest weeks of the entire year.

So, how did we come to this conclusion? Our average daily rainfall will peak starting mid week this week at .19″ a day. The average daily rainfall will remain at .19″ for about 2 weeks before it starts to dip to .18″ and continue to drop for the rest of the year. So, technically, yes, the next 2 weeks are said to be the wettest of the year. So, will it live up to the challenge? There is definitely a good chance…

A series of storm systems moving out of the Pacific Northwest will move in this direction, giving us a chance of rain basically for the next week or two. Some of the weather models are squeezing out a lot of rain during the evening hours this week. If these Mesoscale Convective Systems move in, then we certainly could be measuring rain in the inches.
