The Drought Returns!

After a soggy winter where we had very little fire weather to deal with. The lack of rain in the last 2 months is now setting up a weak drought across Northern Oklahoma in Harper, Northern Woodward County, Woods County and Alfalfa County. Right now, on a scale of 1-5 with 5 being the worst drought we can have and 1 being the least, we’re sitting at a 1 here. So, nothing major. But, it is something that we are keeping our eyes on very closely here. Fortunately, this area did receive 2-3 inches of rain last night. So, the next time we see the drought monitor issued, it the weak drought in this area could be erased.
