Sunday’s Severe Threat

It’s been a little while since we have seen the threat for severe storms return. But, both today and tomorrow are looking like we may see some chuncks of ice falling from the sky and some damaging winds.

I don’t expect the hail to be all that large here, if anything, smaller than quarters, but the winds could be intense, especially on the leading edge of the storm system. Anything that is severe would not move into the region until late afternoon/evening. Mainly, after 4pm. Not only will we have the risk for winds, but the threat for heavy rain will be high as well.

A quick 1 inch of rain is possible, so watch out for the threat of rising water. I don’t see there being a major flood hazard here.
