Hot Once Again…But Wait…Less Humid??

Another hot day ahead of us.  Looks like we will be feeling 90s once again through Friday.  After all it IS July.  Average highs this time of year are typically in the mid 90s. Records are in the triple digits so we will not be close to that, but it will still be very hot.

Notice the Dewpoint map below.  The Dewpoint is a measure of the moisture in the atmosphere.  The higher the number, the higher the humidity.  Eastern Oklahoma is still under a heat warning for the simple fact that the dewpoints are higher.  The Heat Advisory for Central and Western Oklahoma has been allowed to expire due to the humidity being a little lower.   The heat index will be a little lower than what Eastern Oklahoma will experience.  That is about all the good news I have for you today!
