2010 Temperatures In Review

I mentioned yesterday in a blog that the effects of the winter season were starting to diminish from our yearly average temperature. We all remember the downright cold temperatures of January and especially February.

February was actually the coldest month of the year when our average temperature was over 5.0 degrees below normal. June, our warmest, with highs nearly 4.5 degrees above normal. So, where did this change come from? I would say that our cold wave ended somewhere around mid March and while we have had some cooler than normal high temperatures, especially earlier this month, the biggest increase in temperatures has occurred during the overnight hours. As a matter of fact, during the month of June, our normal low temperature, which is in the mid 60s, struggled during much of the month to get below 70 degrees. Yikes…
