Why Hello Cold Front…

Short term relief? Most likely NOT! The models do show a cold front moving into Northwestern Oklahoma Wednesday Evening and into Northern Oklahoma by Thursday. And while we should all jump up and down when we hear of a cold front in August, don’t get your hopes up on this one. It won’t be much of a front. If anything, it takes us from the 105 degree range to the upper 90s. Cooler air? Yes, but temperatures still remain well above normal.

There is a chance of rain with this front. The only hazards I see coming from this front are:

Consider yourself lucky if you get rain.

  1. The weather channel said today it will be 107 and feel like 109 in Elk City. I always check Channel 5 website first. Why are these two channels different?
    If the weather channel is right…it will be 112 in my bedroon around 5:30 to 7:30. I’m going to try to fry an egg in there today.
