“Cooler” For A Few Days…

And by cooler I mean 95 instead of 102!  It is nice to see some clouds out there though.  The should linger into the afternoon hours. Here is the current snapshot of the visible Satellite imagery as of 10:45am.  We will still see upper 90s and a few 100s across the state today but there will be a lag in the warm up where you see the clouds.  NE Oklahoma getting the biggest break.

Highs will still be over 100 in southern Oklahoma today where there will be a bit more sunshine. Also, the cold front made it into the state yesterday but it is stalling out over southern Oklahoma and North Texas so southern Oklahoma will feel little effect from the front.  This front will be the focus for afternoon thunderstorms though.  There is only about 30% for your Thursday and even lower on Friday as the front washes out.

Temperatures are expected to get above 100 degrees again for the weekend.  Dry conditions are expected through the weekend as well as into much of next week.  If you miss out on the rain today, then you may be quite dry for quite some time!
