Igor, Julia, and Karl

An active week in the Tropics.  We still have Igor and Julia way out in the Atlantic.  Igor is still a major hurricane with max sustained winds at 120mph, making it a Category 3 storm.  Julia has weakened a bit with sustained winds at 85mph, Julia is a Category 1 storm.  Both of these storms will have little impact on the US aside from rough surf along the East Coast.

Karl on the other hand will be affecting Mexico.  This storm strengthened considerable in the Bay of Campeche.  It is now a Category 3 storm with max sustained winds of 120mph.  It will make landfall this afternoon and by Saturday it will be a much weaker system.
