Cold….Then Hot

October is what we call a transition month, as we transition from summer into fall.  (Kinda makes sense I guess.)  During these transitions, we can expect wild temperature swings, sometimes week to week…sometimes day to day….and yes, sometimes hour to hour.  Take this week for example, we start with Monday morning temperatures in the 30s and 40s with some of you having frost.  But by Monday afternoon, most of us will be in the lower 70s for highs.

In fact, the overall trend in our weather this week will be a warming trend.  By Wednesday highs will be back in the 80s, and Thursday through the weekend will feature highs in the mid 80s.  So if you’re not a fan of frosty weather, don’t worry, warmer weather is in store.

As far as rain goes, I don’t see much of a chance through next weekend.  There are signs of a major front arriving in about 10 days from now that would bring thunderstorm chances and cooler weather.  In the meantime it looks cold, followed by hot and dry for a while.
