Oklahoma in November…

Hard to imagine that calendars that say “2011” are already hitting the book stores. But yep, we’re now on final approach into the year 2011 and with that, comes new expectations of our weather. So, what are we suppose to see during the 11th month of the year here in Oklahoma? Well, here’s a preview…

We watch our average highs go from 66 degrees at the beginning of the month to the mid 50s by the end of the month. And the lows, from the mid 40s to near the freezing mark. Yep, gone are the days of 100 and 90 degree temperatures. Actually, even reaching the 80s may be a bit of a stretch. Why? Our record highs are mainly in the 80s and upper 70s. As for the lows, that’s going to be out first shock to the system. We should start to see our lows down near the freezing mark in a week or two. So grab those winter coats, put the comforter back on the bed, and light that pilot light in the fireplace.. it’s that time of year!

PS- Rainfall looks like it’s getting harder and harder to come by.We average 2.11 inches of rain this month, making it the 4th driest month of the year.
