Hello Cold Fronts!

If you like warm temperatures, then you were certainly enjoying the first half of the month. But, the tables have turned and our weather pattern for the next 2 weeks will likely favor the cooler air, then the warmer air. Our next cold front, expected to roll in here Tuesday night/Wednesday morning will be one that may not have a huge impact on the afternoon highs, but it will on the morning lows.

And while this front will likely keep the air chilly, we’re now getting into the time of year where each front we see is usually a tad bit stronger than the one before it. The GFS model is showing an even stronger air mass moving into The Southern Plains next Tuesday.

The questions that I still have: The fact that we’re looking at something so far out. A lot can still change, and likely will. And, how far south does this cold air move? And, where the airmass is originating, what happens there between now and when it finally starts to move? Is there snow on the ground? Or no? A lot of questions, with hardly any answers. As time gets closer, there likely won’t be as many questions.
