Thunderbolt and Lightning…

Very very frightening! Actually, the map above shows who saw lightning and who didn’t between the months of May-October. You may have to click on it to blow it up, but according to this, it appears that the largest concentration of lightning strikes occurred right here in The Central Plains. Look for the purple shading, since this denotes the highest frequency of lightning strikes. And while there may be a few places around the world that have a”purple shading”, none are as large as what we see from Kansas to Iowa. Pretty cool map if you ask me…
