Eclipse and Meteors

Tonight is a big night in the stargazing community.  Not only do we have a Lunar Eclipse as Rick mentioned in the last blog, we also have a Meteor Shower too!  It is the Ursid Meteor shower.  The best time to see the Meteor Shower will be at 2:17am.  This is the time the Lunar Eclipse peaks and the sky will be the darkest.  This all falls on the Winter Solstice and we have not had a Lunar Eclipse on the Winter Solstice in 372 years!!  That is 1638 to be exact!
