Late Morning Model Update….Snow Chances Increasing?

Some of the latest models are in and they still show the likelihood of rain Thursday night into Friday.  One of the models is actually coming in colder, which would mean a better chance of snow in Oklahoma on Christmas eve.  If that model is correct, there could be a slushy accumulation in parts of central and eastern Oklahoma.

However, another model shows only rain for the state, and less rain than earlier runs.  The bottom line is that there is still disagreement on the details of this storm.  I’ll be pouring through all the new data this afternoon when putting my forecast together.

Even if the “snowier” model is right, it still won’t be anything on par with what occurred last year.  Make sure you check back to this blog for updates, and watch Eyewitness News 5 tonight at 5, 6, and 10 pm.
