Who’s Getting A White Christmas?

We all enjoy a nice White Christmas and while last year, Oklahoma was lucky to have its whitest Christmas ever, this year, we weren’t as lucky. This time last year, this is who had a White Christmas.

Last year, 63% of the USA and Canada had snow on Christmas, with an average depth of 5.0 inches. Oklahoma City had around 14 inches of snow cover that day. This year, not as much of America has snow cover, but with a storm system moving across Missouri and Kansas, this map may look a little nicer by tomorrow. So, as of right now, this is who is guaranteed a White Christmas.

Only 45.6% of America with an average depth of 5.2 inches, but with the same low that brought us rain, bringing snow just north of us, we could see this map approach 50% by tomorrow. Some of the models are thinking that snow could move as far south as the North Georgia Mountains.
