Sunday Update

Two storm systems affecting the state through tomorrow.  Storm #1 currently bringing heavy snow to far southeast Oklahoma.  This will continue through the afternoon before the system moves to the east.  This storm will also produce snow and ice through the deep south tonight and tomorrow.  Travel will be disrupted.

Storm #1 will keep the OKC metro are cloudy today with a low chance of a light rain/snow mix.  No accumulation is expected.

Storm #2 will move into the Plains states tonight with heavy snow developing across Kansas and Nebraska.  Light snow will develop tonight in northern Oklahoma, but become steadier through the day tomorrow with 2-4 inches possible from Woodward to Ponca City.  The snow will taper off by late afternoon.

For OKC, light snow is possible tomorrow, but accumulations will be less than an inch.  Of course it will be cold with temps in the 20s and 30s, and brisk winds developing with wind chills in the teens.

Tuesday and Wednesday will be dry and cold with highs only in the 20s.  Temperatures will start to moderate by Thursday, although more cold fronts will be coming through the following week.
