The Drought Worsens

For the first time in well over a year, the entire state of Oklahoma is now under a drought, with the worst of the drought being reported across Oklahoma City and Southeastern Oklahoma. These locations are currently reporting SEVERE DROUGHT status. And, for anyone keeping track, this should not surprise us one bit. Why? Check out the following stat:

Since October 1st, barely 2 inches of rain. That means that we’re running a 6 inch deficit during what is the driest time of the entire year. My my how much has changed since July. For now, this is mainly affecting the agricultural business. Fortunately, January is the driest time of the year, which means that starting next month, we begin to average more and more rainfall every month until July.
