Is Today the Day?

Is today the day that we see our streak of above normal temperatures come to an end? There is a pretty good chance that it will!

For the last 10 days, Oklahoma City has been on a wave of warmer than normal temperatures. (Yes, even yesterday was deemed above normal since our official high was in the 60s, though none of us were awake to feel it). But, today is likely going to be the day that ends the streak. How so? Our morning low temperature, which was 26 degrees, was 7 degrees below normal. Which means we need to reach a high temperature today of 63 degrees to make today go down as a “normal” day. Sadly, with northerly winds still pulling in a cooler airmass from the north, we likely won’t reach the 60s today. So, the streak ends at 10 days! But hey, it’s better than what we had last February when we only had 4 days that were above normal for the whole month!
