7am Update: Tuesday Severe

The 7am update is in from The Storm Prediction Center and this is what it looks like. The risk for severe storms has been pushed to the east compared to yesterday’s outlook. Oklahoma City is not under the risk, but close enough that we need to look out for a few strong storms poppin’ by mid-afternoon. (2-3:00’ish). And while there is a risk for tornadoes, the risk is small and brief.Breaking down all the hazards, this is how it looks:

The risk for tornadoes will likely occur during the early stages of storm development, before the storms move into an area that will favor strong winds and hail. Storm movement is expected to be fast, around 40 mph.
