Tropical Update–Jamaica Bound? Listen UP!

Here close to home, above average temperatures will continue this week with highs in the mid to upper 90s and even 100’s across the state.  In the Caribbean however, an area of disturbed weather is being closely watched.

The National Hurricane Center has indicated that this has the potential of showing some organization over the next two days, and there is a 40% chance it could become our first tropical system of the Atlantic Hurricane Season.  Once organized, upper level winds become unfavorable for further development, but Jamaica may be affected and Haiti may be affected as well by at the very least some rain and wind.  We will keep an eye on it for you.
