The Streak Continues

The “Cap Ripken” of streaks continues across Oklahoma as we have now had 66 straight days of above normal temperatures. That’s right! 66! Every single day this summer has been above normal… which is why I am not the least bit surprised to report this:

July of 2011 will go down not only as the hottest July on record in OKC but also the hottest month EVER! Factoring the morning low and afternoon high, our average temperature was 89.2°. And, the average high for the month was 103°. Here’s hoping that by the end of the month, we’ll see “normal” high temperatures return, which for Oklahoma City, is 89°.
