Another Shot of Rain

Where were these systems back in the summer?  As the jet-stream becomes more active this time of year, the storm systems will get stronger with it.  And thus, next week looks to be another week of active weather. The graphic above highlights Monday Night/Tuesday in which the weather models are showing a healthy chance of rain across the Southern Plains.

Given the strong winds ahead of the system and the strength of the low, there appears to be the potential of 1-2 inches of widespread rain across Oklahoma and perhaps a threat for severe storms.  Storms/showers could be on-going before the afternoon on Monday, but right now it appears that the best chance for storms will begin around 4/5pm on Monday and continue overnight.  Obviously a lot can change between now and then.

After Tuesday, we may see a few more storm systems try to move into The Plains but the models have been very inconsistent in the location as well as everything else.  So, what I am trying to say is just keep watching 🙂
